Internet Security

The Protection Detail

Keeping yourself safe, while online, whether your playing online games or even surfing the net. It is a big deal and everyone wants to be able to do this, but maybe you don't know how or maybe you have asked local businesses and their not going to help you unless yo pay, then you don't need to worry because. all of the information on this site is free and we will not ask for anything in return.

Some websites are secure and some are not and If you access a non-secure website then this means that the website owner maybe able to recieve your personal information through your IP address, such as, Address, contact number, age, name, security questions, security answers and even bank details. Any website that you access please look at the address bar to make sure that it has got a padlock at the beginning of the web address. If it has not got a padlock on the address bar then a security message will pop up stating that the website is not safe, so do not continue to acces that website.

If you do recieve a security message that states the website is not safe the please navigate back to google or the previous secure page that you had accessed. Or you could even just close down your internet browser. Children also may not know what internet security is all about, so do prevent people from recieving personal information from you or your child then make sure you have got parental control turned on, so that you can control what websites your child can access.

Some of you may work and some of you may not, but if you need to access a public computer then do not ender personal information, because this could mean the the owner of the public computer you get access to your personal details and this also applies if you are using a friends computer. Never save passwords when using a public computer, such as, social media email accounts or any other login details for your accounts, because again people can get access to them and you would only be making their job esier if you click on save when you login to your account.

If your child attends an after school club or any kind of club that has got access to a console or gaming PC then please tell them not to let them log into their PSN, X-Box Live or evn their steam accounts, because this is also a public domain and the owner would be able to retrieve the login details very easily after they leave and this applies to adults as well as childrem when going to access these account at a friends house. If anyone is in the room with you or they are watching over you then do not enter in your personal information, because the third party might have a good memory and they might remember the details you have entered , so that when you leave they will be able to access your account. They might say that they have got a memory like a fish, but do you really know if they are telling you the truth.

This does not just revolve around internet security. This also revolves around passwords. Your key aspect is to make your password as secure as possible so that it will be unable to crack and the way of doing this is make sure you passworld has got a minimum of eight characters long, inclunding letters, numbers and even special characters and a strong passworld would be minimum of eight characters and maximum of thirty characters long including letters, numbers and special characters.
